I work individually with adults and young people and can additionally offer family sessions and mediation. I am also keen to facilitate support group sessions where a need is identified and will accept referrals from health care professionals and individuals.
My practice is located in The Wooden House in the picturesque village of Hoxne, please see 'Contact' page for more information.
I am an Integrative Counsellor with nine years of experience. I aim to offer my clients a chance to explore their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, safe, and supportive environment. My integrative approach allows me to draw from a range of theoretical models; which means I can apply appropriate techniques where necessary.
My practice is informed by the Humanistic Perspective, Person Centred Approach and Attachment & Developmental Theories. I use Psychodynamic, Existential and Gestalt skills in my work.
With the option of using alternative materials, your counselling experience need not be limited to talking therapies.
My many thousands of hours of client contact have addressed depression, low mood, mental and emotional disorders, loss, grief and bereavement, illness, relationships, gender identity and sexuality, family issues, parenting, neglect, OCD, disordered eating, self-harming, bullying, social issues, low self-esteem, debt and substance misuse.
My experience, understanding, and empathy are broad ranging. I can be approached on all presenting issues; we can discuss an onward referral if I am unable to help.
